San Mateo Coastline

Restoring our coastal timbers

We salvage historic architecture, document unbroken oral histories, and protect regional memory along the rugged San Mateo County coast. We ensure our structural legacy survives rapid modern development.

Architectural salvage

Rescuing regional timber

When historic coastal structures face demolition, our specialized salvage team steps in. We rescue massive hand-hewn redwood timbers, architectural joinery, and early industrial hardware, cataloging and storing them for active public restorations.

By reclaiming these physical fragments of regional memory, we keep the tactile craftsmanship of early coastal settlers alive in modern Half Moon Bay and Pacifica, bridging our past with responsible future growth.

The physical record

Saved coastal landmarks

A documented visual record of our active restoration sites, salvaged materials, and completed structural preservation projects. These images capture the physical history of the San Mateo coastline, from weathered shingles to hand-forged iron.

Keep the stories standing

Our preservation efforts are entirely funded by community donations and active tideland stewardship. Help us salvage the architectural heritage and regional memory of the San Mateo coast before these historic timbers fade.
